night of dead roads

los angeles not a car, or sound or living soul, all of downtown, a ghost town, the thick cloud, heavier than any fog, sat down on top of the entirety of the center of the city, from streets and freeways, everywhere, surrounding, visibility was clear and limitless, a clear view of a giant glowing cloud where downtown used to be, inside, all of the lights reflected back inward, red, green, amber, los angeles was a city in a red night, and not a soul to be seen, as if a plague had swept the streets of everyone but me.
